My idea of a seven course meal...............
Excellent food has always been my weakness. Trying out different cuisine helps me stimulate my mind and spirit. My idea of a 7 course meal would be in the order mentioned below:-
COURSE 1 - Appetizer
COURSE 2 – Soup/Mock tail/Cock tail/Choice of Wines
COURSE 3 - Salad
COURSE 4 - Pasta/fish/sea food
COURSE 5 - Main Entrée (meat, starch, vegetable)
COURSE 6 - Fruit & Cheese
COURSE 7 - Dessert & Coffee
Appetizer is food served before the main courses of a meal.
Non-Vegetarian:- Steamed Momos
This appetizer from the East Indian state of Sikkim is delicious and easy on the conscience too! You can fill it with any minced meat of your choice. Momos are usually served with fiery Sikkimese tomato chutney and a clear soup called Thukpa.
Vegetarian: - Vegetable Manchurian
Vegetable Manchurian is another appetizer similar to Gobi Manchurian but made of assorted vegetables.
Soup is food that is made by combining ingredients such as meat or vegetables in stock or hot/boiling water, until the flavor is extracted, forming a broth.
Non-Vegetarian:- Spicy Chicken Soup
It is mouth watering and a good taste stimulator.
Vegetarian: - Coriander Tomato Soup
This is a French recipe which is really quite special. I enjoy the flavor of coriander which makes the simple tomato soup tasty and yummy.
Salad is a mixture of cold foods, usually includes vegetables and/or fruits, often with a dressing, occasionally nuts or croutons, and sometimes with the addition of meat, fish, pasta, cheese, or whole grains.
Vegetarian: - Green salad
The "green salad" or "garden salad” is most often composed of some vegetables, built up on a base of leaf vegetables such as one or more lettuce varieties, spinach, or rocket (arugula) put together in a manner known as vegtabling. Other common vegetables in a green salad include cucumbers, peppers, mushrooms, onions, spring onions, red onions, avocado, carrots, celery, and radishes. Other ingredients such as tomatoes, pasta, olives, hard boiled egg, artichoke hearts, and heart of palm, roasted red peppers, cooked potatoes, rice, sweet corn, green beans, black beans, croutons or cheeses are sometimes added to salads.
Non-Vegetarian:- Chinese chicken salad
As its name suggests, is a salad with chicken flavored by Chinese seasonings. The Asian influence comes from common Asian-themed ingredients. Though many variations exist, common features of most salads described as "Chinese chicken" contain lettuce, chicken, use of ginger and sesame oil in the dressing, and crispy pieces of deep-fried noodles.
Pasta is an Italian food made from dough using flour, water and/or eggs.
There are approximately 350 different shapes of pasta. A few examples include spaghetti (solid cylinders), macaroni (tubes or hollow cylinders), fusilli (swirls), lasagna (sheets), and gnocchi (balls), although this is considered a separate dish by some.
I am attaching a link of the various kinds of pasta for reference.
