Special people at work@Satyam......
Note from the author:-
This idea is not original but inspired (borrowed….copied…. .Na…..stolen) from one of my very dear friends Mani. I sincerely thank Mani for her endless support (thank God she did not get the brilliant idea to copy write it) in making this post a success.
So presenting before you the list of people at work who have influenced me in innumerable ways than they know…..
"P.K":- A colleague who has become a friend with time. Thought he is one sarcastic, moody, proud, obstinate guy with dry humor to go along. He almost thinks that the world revolves around him. Well sometimes first impressions are not always the last one. This guy is sarcastic,unappreciative... no doubt ....but for him "Modesty is vice" goes without saying. He tries to live up to the expectation of "modesty is vice" by his all time favourite dialogs like "hum gawar log","chote garib","road mein ghomte rehte hai, awara types"...etc...etc...He has told me specifically to mention that he has got what is called self deprecating sense of humor (e.g. of his Modesty is vice saying remember…). A hardcore techie, he has solved all my silly, stupid and intelligent (better to mention it—don’t want the world to think I am all dumb) doubts with small advices in the form of "gawar itna bhi nahi aata". Just imagine he teases me on my weight...Oh !come on now I have not yet made a century. A great human being;he is very helpful, has a great taste of books, music and thoughts.Special thanks to u PK.
"Raj": - This is one guy in whom you can easily find best of friend. He is one person other than Bupi with whom I can share all my silly doubts without hesitation. A great techie like PK (both are considered to be pillars of IRAS.....for Raj I can understand but for PK u have got to see him to believe it) he solves all my doubts within minutes.By the way this guy also has a creative side to him.Reuters week is the perfect example to it....Humorous, naughty, not at all modest(I am the best kind of attitude), workaholic are some of the adjectives which best describes this person. He won’t like me writing this but he has never given me his Ipod to listen to (on the contrary the entire ODC must have listened to it atleast once),have never got me a chewing gum etc.etc....(list is endless and I as always, don’t like to crib so we leave it here...)Nevertheless, he is and will always be special for me.
"Bupi":-This guy! Meet him when I joined Reuters@Satyam. Manpreet called for a meeting to introduce the two new bakras (PR and me) to the whole team. New project, lots of apprehensions.....shy me. Deadly combination. The silver lining in all was Bupi smiling and making us feel comfortable instantly. From then on the bonding has been instantaneous although I feel he has changed a bit with time (maybe my stupid apprehension). He is really cool in handling tough and extreme situations. He has shouldered great responsibilities with a big grin on his face. Hats off to him.By the way,THANKS bupi for being there.
"Manpreet": - The first person I and PR were introduced to at Reuters@Satyam. We have literally grown under her wings. Any queries just run to her and she patiently will answer it all. Very cool, she is straight forward (men she can really tell the right things at the right moment), daring and commanding in her own way. She is very patient. The way she has handled all my stupid questions hurled to her a million times in one minute is the best example of patience.
"Abhi": - This is one guy who proves that gr8 things do come in small packages after all. Witty, humorous, intelligent and naughty are some of his greatest qualities which he flaunts with ease. He is called the COBOL King the title which he carries effortlessly. Any queries, in any piece of code,Abhi is thr for all.....Not to take it to heart but he can actually irritate and grind you to the core where all you are left to do is run wild, screaming your head off.....Thanks bro anyways.....
